This role is in the firm’s STATUTORY COMPANY SECRETARIAL Department:

In AFS Contoller capacity:

  • Arranging of clients’ signatures re
    • resolutions in approval of financial statements – solely responsible for entire process, and
    • resolutions in approval of financial assistance (section 45) transactions – solely responsible for entire process;
    • Subordinations (prepared by audit staff)
  • Accurate up keeping of Workpool (task management system) iro signed resolutions received
  • Client deletions:  Attend to inhouse administration and procedure and drafting of final resignation letter to client and government authorities
  • Corresponding with clients and partners directly (telephonically + email)
  • Direct reporting to Partners and Group Leader re outstanding resolutions and related difficulties
  • Arranging for collection of parcels with courier service upon request
  • Attending to the signing in and out of statutory records via Workpool (task management system), and regular following up on items signed out
  • Other secretarial duties as required and determined by the Group Leader from time to time

In BACK UP capacity:

  • Checking AFS resolutions for correctness per criteria identified, which includes preparation of general directors’ declaration of interest
  • Pasting of signed resolutions and filing of statutory forms
  • Making copies of statutory documentation as requested by CoSec team members
  • Assisting with the general neat keeping of statutory records, and related filing

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • A sharp sense of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Above average administrative skills and organisational abilities
  • Previous 1 to 3 years’ similar experience in an Auditing firm is preferred
  • Good written – and verbal communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Intermediate knowledge of Ms Office package
  • Experience in Greatsoft and Workpool (or similar packages) – will be advantageous
  • Take initiative

Package & Remuneration

R10-15000pm CTC, includes Pension and Medical Aid Contributions
