A highly successful and longstanding Property Development Group is offering a career growth opportunity to a Chartered Accountant with relevant commercial experience to join their management team. The group offers the complete range of property development services, from the conception of a project to its’ completion for residential and commercial property.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assisting to manage the entire financial management and control functions of the business
  • Ensuring that all accounting policies and financial management requirements are adhered to at all times
  • Designing and implementing, where necessary, and maintaining and managing the  financial management, internal control, and reporting policies
  • Financial reporting, including the presentation of monthly management accounts for the Directors, and preparing the company’s Annual Financial Statements on a full IFRS basis for reporting to the Directors
  • Preparing provisional and annual tax returns
  • Liaising with the company’s insurers, bankers, legal and other relevant consultants as required
  • Exercising effective budgetary control and cash flow management
  • Assuming responsibility for the overall asset management function of the business
  • Monthly review of the General Ledger
  • Assisting external auditors with all relevant matters
  • Managing the company’s Information Technology systems and processes
  • Assisting Management with the preparation and presentation of annual budgets
  • Assisting with service provider contracts and tenders.
  • Managing any Human Resource issues for the company

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (SA)
  • A minimum of 8+ years’ commercial work experience in financial management
  • Proven experience in IFRS reporting
  • Excellent Information Technology abilities
  • High level of computer literacy in reporting tools & MS Excel at an advanced level
  • Excellent planning, administrative and organisational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to thrive in a team
  • Proven maturity in conflict management skills

Package & Remuneration

 R850-950K CTC Plus discretionary performance related bonus
